Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives a $1.5 Million Contract to Provide Digital Over-the-Horizon Modems
MELVILLE, N.Y., Jan 6, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Orlando, Florida-based subsidiary, Comtech Systems, Inc., has received a $1.5 million contract award from a foreign prime contractor to provide its digital flagship adaptive over-the-horizon modems for integration into a military communication system. Comtech’s state-of-the-art digital modems will be used to replace a previous generation of Comtech’s equipment and enable the end customer to take advantage of the expanded features resident in the new modem.

Fred Kornberg, President of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., noted “This contract award clearly demonstrates the recognition of Comtech’s advanced digital adaptive modem and radio technology and experience in over-the-horizon microwave (troposcatter) systems.”
