Comtech Systems produces advanced transportable troposcatter terminals for fixed site, transportable, and tactical military applications in the 1800-2400 MHz, 4400-5000 MHz and 7400-7700 MHz bands. Transportable and tactical terminals are designed in a self-contained shelter with a 16 Mb/sec tropo modem, Klystron or solid state power amplifier, quad diversity receivers, field tunable radios, battery backup, automated test and monitor. Antennas are available in the range of 1.8 meter to 9.1 meter diameter. Generator sets are available on trailers for truck transport. Fixed site applications use rack mounted equipment and antennas on towers. Click here to see more details about our military applications. Comtech Systems troposcatter radios are used in many commercial applications that require over the horizon or beyond line of sight, high capacity radio links. Used in a point to point application, Comtech Systems’ tropo can span very long distances without a repeater, with a capacity of 8 Mb/sec. Commercial applications are typically for links between shore sites and offshore platforms, links between offshore platforms, and links between islands or islands to mainland sites.
